Derek Wurst is a project manager for an engineering consulting firm specializing in water and wastewater projects for municipalities. In addition to his professional role, Derek actively serves as a board member for the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District.

Derek joined the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation to deepen his involvement in the community. As chair of the Foundation’s Grant Committee, he takes pride in ensuring that funds are allocated to support local nonprofits and create a positive impact in the community.

Beyond his professional and board commitments, Derek is an enthusiastic volunteer, participating in Community Service Day, international coastal cleanups, and other service initiatives. His role on the Foundation allows him to connect with like-minded individuals and identify meaningful opportunities to support local volunteer efforts, furthering his commitment to building a stronger community.
