Bob Berggren is the retired General Manager of the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District, where he dedicated 40 years of service after earning his degree from UC Berkeley and completing a Master’s in Public Administration at John F. Kennedy University. Even in retirement, he continues to share his expertise as an Adjunct Professor for Diablo Valley College’s Work Experience Program.

A founding member of the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation, Bob has been actively involved since 1988, just after its formation. Over the years, he has served as Past President and held various other roles, contributing to the Foundation's impressive legacy. He takes immense pride in the Foundation’s accomplishments, which include supporting youth, educational, sports, fine arts, senior programs, major capital projects, and countless other community initiatives that have made Pleasant Hill a better place to live.

In his personal time, Bob enjoys playing golf with friends, both old and new, and traveling between California and Wyoming. He and his wife, Donna, manage a 72-acre ranch in Wyoming, home to horses, sheep, chickens, dogs, and cats, where they embrace the joys of ranch life.
